With over 20 years of visionary leadership, Amanda has grown Bob Steele Salon into an award-winning, 8-location hair salon brand serving metro Atlanta, built on a foundation of relatable luxury and genuine care.

Founded in 1979 by visionary hairstylist Bob Steele, Bob Steele Salon began with a simple belief: when talented people are given the opportunity to grow, extraordinary things happen.
Bob’s own career started with a chance encounter that inspired him to attend cosmetology school. Just six years later, he opened his first salon. When faced with a major setback only two years into business, Bob chose to rebuild—and built something even stronger. That resilience, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to developing great hairstylists became the foundation of the Bob Steele Salon we know today.

In 2009, Amanda Hair became majority owner of Bob Steele Salon and began the next chapter of the company’s story.
Under Amanda’s leadership, Bob Steele Salon has grown from its original roots into an eight-location, woman-owned salon company serving communities throughout metro Atlanta. Today, Bob Steele Salon operates under So Chic Salon Brands, with a continued focus on exceptional guest experiences, stylist education, career development, innovation, and a culture where people genuinely care about one another.

While the company has grown, the philosophy behind it remains remarkably similar to the one that helped build Bob Steele Salon from the beginning: our success comes from helping other people succeed.
